The slow pacing is the main selling point of the show. It's the only thing out there really doing that. Every other "slow paced" show is only slow paced because they fit in a bunch of exposition and unrelated scenes. BCS constantly stays on point but yet moves at a glacier's pace, and you have to respect that writing style to like it

I watched the first season and like it. But it was definitely a good move to quarantine the "more Breaking Bad" the executives probably wanted to a loose spinoff.

Watching clips, it looks like it just turns into some kind of Macgyver with lawyer skills. But at least the purity of Breaking Bad isn't tainted.

we already know how the conflict between Gus and Lalo is going to end now because we had that scene where Gus hid a literal Chekhov's gun in the lab last episode. It's just kind of boring seeing Gus be invincible and play 5D chess all the time, I was hoping that Lalo would have a few cards up his sleeve that would give Gus some trouble but nope, it seems the trajectory is just

>Lalo finds secret lab
>But its okay because Gus saw the future and knew this would happen so he hid a gun at the scene to kill Lalo
I know the writers are constrained by the events of Breaking Bad, but this is just lame and contrived

It's funny and sad. It's sad, because BCS is BrBa, but good. It's funny, because you think BrBa is actually good.
Unless you wanted BrBa for the epic science bitch moments and Walt doing funny faces, you'll actually like BCS more, since it took what they learned from BrBa, and is a much more polished version.
