I speak the Queen's. I unironically say "mate", "innit", "lad" and "cheeky". I couldn't care less about your mutt dialect.

I can't distinguish between english accents honestly. I can see that some speak differently but I can't group them accordingly.

You should all adopt a Yorkshire accent.

We were taught proper Queen's English at school (I assume it's a standard procedure). I used to be proud of this and even thought how cool it was that all my favo(u)rite English-language writers were British. Over the years, I've slowly dropped the anglicisms and British accent and just reverted to simpler American English. Both because of the overwhelming natural input and because I've realized that our infatuation with the British is baseless and in reality they're a nation of island goblins who think too highly of themselves. It was one of the easiest elitisms to abandon in my life, even though I feel like my country (at least the way it built the education system back in the first half of 2010s when I finished school), my generation (again, first half of 2010s was British culture galore) and my family are all extremely anglophile. To be fair, I don't like Americans anymore either, so I'm just learning other languages now.

american. people think my english is perfect when i speak because my accent is pretty clear but in reality i only know 9k-10k words according to vocabulary tests. just lol.

The difference is in the As and Rs.

en US, plus some Brazilian accent stuff that I really haven't bothered.
