we were free to practice it however and wherever we liked. religion wasn't a requirement nor was anything forced down our throats by the state. the country was set up so religion could thrive in whatever form it took. that's why retard tier religions like scientology and mormonism or those cringe mega church things are so successful. americans were a religious people from the start and will continue to be for years to come. it's ingrained in our very being.

The world wars. Europeans became disenfranchised with the religion. Quebec for example is essentially the most catholic region besides Poland in the west. Also America’s entire social foundation is far more religious based than Europe’s given as the majority of our ancestors are descendants of people who left Europe primarily on religious grounds.
