Europe Likely to Run Out of Gas in Fall-Winter Season
Gergely Gulyas, the head of the Hungarian Prime Minister's office, has told local media that Europe would most likely run out of gas in the fall-winter period.
"In recent days, it has become clear that with a high probability there will not be enough gas in Europe for the fall-winter heating season," the official said during a briefing.
Earlier Budapest had declared a national emergency in the energy sector, citing rising gas prices, which Gulyas said were linked to the European Union’s sanctions on Russia.
