Why are people from bad countries more patriotic than people from good countries?

Why are people from bad countries more patriotic than people from good countries?

cope

they are indoctrinated from a young age to be nationalistic subhumans over the most trivial of things whereas firsties are comfortable in their inherent supremacy

It's not true.

Americans are very patriotic.

Italians are rather patriotic too.

Scottish are very patriotic too.

Etc

literally

>bad country
>have lots of less intelligent people because it's bad
>less intelligent people are patriotic about their bad country

Because living in a country that hasn't experienced war since ww2 (if that), or isn't surrounded by hostile nations, makes the need to promote your ethnic identity non-existent.
Westerners just grew complacent, and that's why they are slowly getting either americanized or muslimified.

balkanoids can't be americanized or muslimfied since they are already muslim (arab) genetically

It's a coping mechanism
First worlders are not insecure, so they don't need to be obnoxiously "patriotic"

I would break your legs if you said this to me, paleskin

Hello paki-chan. Have you done your 15 daily "live your myth in greece" posts?

we arent patriotic nor a good country
for america yes they are weirdly patriotic

are italians patriotic more about south/north, home region or country?

region for sure
in tuscany the autism is so much they are more attached to their cities than the region
but as a venetian we care about veneto more

Confirmation bias, you probably ignore all the self-hating people from those areas. Also from what I saw westoids tend to also be arrogant and nationalistic, they just hide it most of the time and pretend to be modest.

this is true but at least hiding your true opinions makes the world more civil

Maybe but it's hypocritical and also poses problems further down the line when it comes to serious issues.
I think one of the reasons EU might fail is because most people deep down still hate other Europeans but most have to pretend not to and but their real thought still affect politics.
It's like having a team of people being polite to each other all the time, but they hate each others guts, so they don't cooperate further.
Instead if thing were in the open, maybe the issues could be discussed and solved.
>well I don't like X or Y thing about other nations
>well you're wrong because Z reason so shut the fuck up
or
>okay you're right we change X or Y
instead things stay the same

It's not precisely like that. Westerners do not directly brag about their countries (because that's "nationalism"), but they are quite candid about insulting everyone around themselves, such as calling them poor, stupid, nationalistic, crime-ridde, shitholes etc. Sometimes, it's also about denying that some country in Europe is European. This happens all the time, and these threads are one example of it. It's not any more civil or less nationalistic, it's just a different style of the same thing.

both are true
nordics do this all the time they deep down think what they do is always better even on shit that doesnt matter

it is important to distinguish two different concepts here: modern western nationalism as a historical unity of a people primarily bound by language, territory and a shared destiny, an idea first developed in the 18th century that caught on worldwide.

secondly, a kind of "ahistoric" tribalism based on thumos that is most developed in people that might be termed "barbarians", but not savages. the first idea is running its course throughout the west, but it still holds strong in areas where this "tribal" element comes natural to the locals, namely in the balkans. it has nothing really to do with what westerners associate with nationalism, the tribalism of these people does not depend on great accomplishments, national poets, a thriving economy or whatever. its simply a part of their character

they are not
westoids just hide it very well to not be called racists
