By the end of the century
>Lab grown organs

Long after all of us posting here are dead
>Human Cloning
>Mars Colony
>Brain Transplant

Never ever tier
>Backward Time Travel
>Dimensional Travel
>Faster than Light Travel
>Mind Copying and Transfer
>Replicators
ranking from 1-10, 10 being hardest
1 we can clone using meiosis cells but that's just a lab grown twin so it's really a matter of definition /2
2 it will not be a cure but a dna modification before insemination where telomeres no longer shorten /over time, this will take a while to accomplish /8
3 outpost more like /4
4 they actually have done this with monkeys, look it up, monkeys died in a few days as body rejects it /4
5 they already grow ears on mice /1
6 more problems of rejection for organs but limbs are okay /2
7 no
8 no
9 well ... what do you mean by travel
10 no, mind is made up of the synchronized firing of neurons but from your individual cells, once it is "transferred" you just make a different being, it's not transfer or copy, it's creating somebody else
Human cloning seems to just be a matter of choice at this point. If we can clone a horse then why not a human?
Dont cloned animals usually not live very long?
Until we have the process perfected I dont think they are going to clone humans anytime soon
depends on the cell you clone from
you are the second post
>what do you mean by travel
Any kind of FTL travel that lets us explore other star systems within a matter of years or at most decades.
>Human Cloning
As in Dolly the sheep cloning? We could probably do it right now.
>Cure for aging
>Mars Colony
>Brain Transplant
>Lab grown organs
>Genetically Engineered Superhumans
>Nanomachines
>Fully synthetic body other than brain
I don't see anything that would prevent these. Nanomachines might not be possible depending on how small we get the components.
>Backward Time Travel
>Dimensional Travel
>Faster than Light Travel
Not possible
>Mind Copying and Transfer
>Replicators
dunno.

Teleportation
Anti-gravity flight
Functional sex change
Resurrection of Dinosaurs or Megafauna
Asteroid Mining
we can make information travel ftl by using quantum entanglement, you may not get there but your image might
>Human Cloning
apparently its called "sex"
>Cure for aging
no, buy see the last one
>Mars Colony
unlikely in your lifetime, but something the size of the ISS crew could happen in the next several decades
>Brain Transplant
theoretically we already can replace small parts with current technology... if we try it a LOT of times. for obvious reasons no testing is being done
>Lab grown organs
depends on the type, skin: easy, stomach:quite hard, brain: impossible
>Fully synthetic body other than brain
no, thats ridiculous, it would be more realistic to use the main nervious system tho, but still we are too far from that
>Backward Time Travel
no
>Dimensional Travel
lol
>Faster than Light Travel
lmao even
>Mind Copying and Transfer
with enough resources you could fully train an AI with 100% of your actions and thoughts, since the moment you are born, in theory that would produce a copy of yourself
1 in star trek you don't teleport you are created by the replicator while at the same time you are killed by the beam, it's canon, just like in prestige
2 maybe
3 no it's easier to just similate directly through neurons
4 not in the same climate, earth had different composition then
5 very likely
1,000 years from now they'll resurrect/copy someone living now by analyzing extensive footage, images, and writing from them + dna samples. Someone like a celebrity or world leader that was documented every day with thousands of hours of video available. They'll even imprint them with the memories.
no, that's a simile someone who acts like it, they might be a completely different person inside, memory is internal, you cannot infer memory that's just stupid, stop being stupid

Holodeck
Matrix style Virtual Reality
Super Intelligent Animals
This is true but also the recreation may be very accurate given enough data to work with.
top 2 is no actually, it's the projection theory, the universe cannot be physically like inception, it's related to thermodynamics
they wouldn't be animals would they, kind of like that cartoon with the super smart money
>you cannot infer memory
hmmm
hmmm
In some ways I believe humans already make copies of each other within their own minds if they are around each other long enough. Husbands and wives that understand each other's personalities on a fundamental deep level.
So maybe you can't infer an exact memory but I think a "person" does not only exist within the brain cells within their skull. There are partial "copies" elsewhere. Copies that could be of use to far future scientists who can actually read minds and memories and sort through them.
/shitpost
they are biased, it's not a real version, it is your version, if it's good enough for you then sure why no
