Here in Germany the average pay for someone with a M.Sc. degree in computer science is around 2200€ after taxes.
In comparison someone who works for minimum wage might earn around 1200€ and they will raise that in October.

I'm not kidding, go have a look here: Per year the average CS major receives 42000€ and people here tend to pay up to 50% taxes (it depends on whether or not you have kids, are married etc), so the estimate I gave above is very optimistic actually.

Keep in mind that the path to such a degree means 12 years of school + 4.5 years of university, IF everything goes as planned.
Compared to a minimum wage job that's 6.5 years you'll receive no payments1 whatsoever buy you'll still have rent, university fees* and le hecking "free healthcare" to pay for.

Needless to say this is a cringe dystopia and I'm looking to get out... Does this happen in your cunt?

1if you don't have a job on the side, but STEM degrees are usually hard enough already
*they are rather mild here, only 500€ to 1000€ per year, still it can add up.

Yes but at least youre cities are walkable

Thats really low for someone with a degree

>2200 yuros
You could live like a king in Bóstil with this

kek
ikr?
Yeah, but rent is half of that in some places here, food prices have nearly doubled since February, energy prices a skyrocketing etc etc

>computer science
get a real job then. Computers arent a real job. Also money isnt everything. You can get paid 1 million per month and still be unhappy with the dystopian life in this tyrannical oppressive country

True

Here it's $500 per month and it's a high end job, I dunno why you niggas love to complain.

$500 WITH a degree? the fuck

How much without then

Not comparable.
$500 is how many pesos?

If you study literally anything but CS or medicine you make just as much as americans THOUGH

How much is rent?

This might be news to you but living costs are a bit higher in the first world

lol no
why would you say that?

Depends, can be 1000€ or more if you live in a city.

That obviously depends on a lot of factors, but the average rent in Germany is 8,19 euros per m2 (10 sq ft) per month. Munich has the highest rent out of any german city with an average rent of 20,33 euros per m2. The nicer parts of a city or more modern apartments are more expensive, of course.

Also note that those figures are just the base rent, not including heating, electricity, water or anything else.

Are you me?
I've been thinking the same for a long while now. I'm thinking of immigrating to Canada or the US but I'm not sure how hard it's.

I make $44/hr with a high school diploma. :^)

Afaik Canadians immigrate to the US a lot and while the US is still going strong I'm not sure how long that will still be the case, immigration is also pretty difficult for someone from Europe afaik.
I've been thinking about Switzerland myself, stable country with a healthy economy and people make nearly as much as in the US.

I couldn't imagine how depressing and un-human it must feel to work infront of a computer for a living. There's always going to be that part of your reptile brain that just knows that sitting infront of a computer is unnatural

It's not exactly that hard.

Lmao.
I get 600 € more after taxes with my tardes job and that doesn't even include bonuses. Why do you people even go to uni and waste years?
