The answer is right there, can't you see it?
your potential girlfriend is in one of those galaxies
The light seems curved. Why?
>she only wants Ch'd
le heckin science!
You wouldn't get it
GALAXIES MAN!!!!
There's a large object in the middle of the frame, it's bending the light with its gravity.
Epic multiverse. Science HOOOOYYYPP!!!
I can't be the only one who thinks this looks like a textbook drawing or something, right?
the small bright yellow ones with a faint glow are enormous galaxies. you could fit like 30 milky ways in them. pretty much incomprehensible to think about.
Le HECKIN star wars brooo
i've always thought that galaxies look very unrealistic when seen from this far away. they have a copy & pasted look to them.
It's kinda funny how "fake" planets and stars look when you view them in telescopes. I had the same reaction when I went to an observatory to loon at Saturn.
big chungus wholesomerino!
The depth of field is greater than Hubbles and the light spectrum is more interesting, also the fidelity is remarkable.
With this telescope astrophysicists will even be able to analyze the atmospheric composition of exoplanets.
There’s another telescope in the works that will be able to actually see the surface of exoplanets and perhaps even detect light emanating from artificial sources.
is this the best they could come up with? hubble pics were better
it’s the same photo NASA took with the Hubble, called the Hubble Deep Field. they re-took the picture intentionally to show off how far their imaging capabilities have advanced.
pic related is an overlap between a section of that image, hubble and jwst
NOOOO DON'T MAKE THREADS ABOUT THIS
WE NEED TO HAVE ANOTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT LE HECKIN' EUROPEON HAPLOTYPES
What you see in that picture happened 13.8 billons years ago (it's so far away the light took all that time to get to the lens of the camera). Basically a short time after the big bang.
