We live in a simulation.
Lol they left the pointer in it
no it didn't
the whole telescope cost 10 billion and it's going to operate for decades
it's fucking pocket change for America
Look at all these galaxies we sadly will never be able to visit.
looks like some deep fried zoomer meme
Oh my science
It's coal
the Webb telescope is going to be able to look back to merely millions of years after the big bang and thus very likely provide proof for our current cosmological models
and?
knowing things is good
Right click -> "Save as..."
Don't remind me.
The fact that we're moving apart faster than the speed of light is incredibly depressing.
why? it literally does not matter for us
nothing could conceivably travel the distances needed for the Hubble Constant to start mattering
so for the timeframe of human civilization the expansion of the universe would not affect our travel plans in any way
just the regular distances between objects are what makes space travel so difficult

This is even scarier and depressing.
NO YOU CAN'T FUCKING DO THAT
IT'S ILLEGAL
nfts are getting out of hand i swear to god
lol this
I think it's amazing
I really just can't fucking understand why so many people are almost fanatically opposed to the James Webb telescope
People unironically celebrating when it got hit, people wishing for it to blow up when it was launched, etc
These aren't the kinds of people who talk about how they should have invested the money to help erase poverty and easily treatable diseases, they just seem like cultists to me

America should not be building 10 billion dollar space telescopes when we don't even have free health care yet
