I'm playing cities skylines and I want suggestions of what country or regional theme I should do, ie LatAm, Canadian, Russian, etc.

Create a russian mining town

do something that doesn't exist, a city in a terraformed planet in the far future or something

North Korea best Korea

sounds kinda farfetched but interesting
right now I was thinking of an ambiguous Canadian/US city using 1900's architecture but with modern tech, or an Italian compact city on a coast
but I'm looking at the workshop and I want to make something with a "Korea-town" district

Sochi, Russia

An exploited African city, with the industries, downtown corporations, and products/vehicles being Russian or Chinese would be cool too

Protip:

They key to building realistic American cities is to just be lazy as fuck and have a shitload of cash

Don’t overthink it, don’t bother with small detail just go for the scale and that’s it.

thanks this looks horrible
what is going on in the top left of the picture? it looks really odd

Why are you so mean

Looks like a terraced suburbia.

All in all very American.

These are supposed to be stilt houses. I was mainly inspired by Los Angeles and Phoenix while making this.

LatAm style is American style but poorer, Canada is also American style but slightly richer. Which is overdone. Try doing a war-torn ukie city, I don't think anyone ever attempt to build a war torn city before, it would be interesting.

I see, I was just confused by the black cliff faces on the sides of the roads
Your city looks pretty good for what it's supposed to portray, I just wish you'd download a LUT to get rid of the vanilla piss filter.

What's the best city building simulator these days? I've only played SimCity 4, and I still think it's the best.

I have been doing historical style US city for first time and it has honestly been fun so far. You could try something similar but with european theme for example.

My American cities are what used to be before the Russian's pic happened, look at any small US city before the 80's/90's and you had great architecture everywhere, before the parking lots

Suomi ofcourse

Because SimCity 4 is still a better city simulator than Cities Skylines.
Cities Skylines fell for the retarded "each person is individually simulated" meme and that wrecks the whole simulation after your city becomes moderately large. Besides, many of the mechanics make way more sense in SC4 than in C:S.

just install mods

Mods won't help if the core game is flawed from the beggining.

I actually felt that the scale was off.
Deleted a few office areas
Now it looks properly
I’m just trying to describe the logic in simple terms. After the war you were rolling in cash and could afford to build MASSIVE cities.

fuck, i want to play cities skylines again but GPU broke
I have to wait till august to play it again

you need a parking lot mod
