No, we must finally all be serious and build that European defense pact (now that Germany and all those who didn't already have it will have real armies).
Then, after the current mess in Ukraine is settled, we will finally all leave NATO.
With all EU countries in and NO TURKEY.
As for the US, they're still planning to go after China, anyway, so they won't have anything to spare to defend Europe anway.

"Collapse" is not necessary, but I agree, it would be nice if the Ukrainians managed to sufficiently wreck the Russian military to make it incapable of major offensive operations for years.
I don't think Putin will stop before that, anyway - he'll fight as long as he can.
So hopefully the point where he can't anymore will be reached in Ukraine, which was unfortunate enough to become Europe's first line of defense.
