Good knowledge of Bogota, yeah, they demolished it in the early 00s and just plunked this laughably desolate park in the middle of what is still a ghetto. It's a shame that old neighborhood had been close to hell on earth but it was historic and I feel they could have rehabilitated it better.

I don't think so user, if you look at NYC in the 70s and 80s, many neighborhoods looked like bombed out warzones (even worse than el cartucho imo) and was inhabited by complete wastes to society. They were all torn down and rebuilt in the 90s and while not perfect, those places are actually livable now. El cartucho needed to be taken down, but building a sad little park in a larger slum area was not the solution...
