Why is "traveling" and travelers so popular now? Why does everyone act like traveling the world (AKA 3 countries, 2 of which are tropical of course) and staying in some place for a couple of days is a life changing experience?

don't forget the amount of americans going there daily, a truly shit scattered around

I look like this and say that

You posing a face who hate travelling, neckbeard are afraids of going 10meter away from home

Based epistemological radicalist

I like driving my car to different places and seeing interesting stuff.
I wouldnt want to travel too far though. I like going back home at the end of day, sitting on my couch, playing with my stupid dog before going to bed...
Travelling to distant places, to me, sounds really bothersome. At least if you're poor. You have to travel in a packed plane, after stressful hours at the airport. Then you arrive at a place completely foreign and have to sleep in a bed worse than yours, and eat a food that most likely isnt as good as the stuff you have back home. Then you obviously stand out in the crowd, like I would being white while visiting Paris for example, and I hate being the center of attention. Then a few days later you have to pack your shit and move to a different place. What a pain in the ass.

No, thank you. I would rather visit nearby towns I've never visited and see something interesting but not too alien to me, and then get home in time for dinner.

People who live in small countries bordering other countries likes to travel. It’s a bit different in North America, our cunts are so large as it is.

'emmy

It's cheaper and easier to go to Havana or Paris than it is to Saint John's from anywhere in the Saint Lawrence corridor, which is lame

Why is this? Also what’s the price you have to pay to go to Paris? Here for round trip on the West Coast I’ll probably be looking at $1500+ easily which is painful. First couple days we have to deal with jet lag :(

I reckon most of it is to show off.
I used to travel with other people (women), but stopped doing it because I found little joy in it. Most of the time they got stressed because plans failed to go their way (as it happens when traveling), then we had to rush to some venue just to take a photo and pretend we were having fun, "for posterity", which I reckon means post later on social media.
I enjoy the museums, but then most of the time it just felt like we were sightseeing and not really traveling.
Sometimes I wanted to stop and eat something typical, just relax eating some snack, absorving the sounds and sights of the people living and working there, but couldn't because that would take time off some photo some place else.
Yeah, then sometimes I had to sit with these people and hear out amazing our trip was, and hear them tell the most mundane of occurances when traveling as if it was the best thing ever.

Now I just travel alone. No complaining, go wherever I want, sleep wherever I want, stop wherever I want.

I have literally only heard white women say they travel like it's a personality trait

If you think about it, for them it might just be the case, just not the personality trait they are trying to pass of.

Under £50 return if you're flexible with times

I used to be interested in travel then I found Any Forums and realized that people are the same no matter what country they're in

I've found solo traveling far better for the reasons you've said
Even if I plan all the travel myself, its inevitable that someone wakes up late/loses their passport/gets scammed
It's all so frustrating

Who said this

are these white women and travel bloggers in the room with us right now

>ALSO, SINCE I WAS IN (insert thirdie shithole or megapolis hellscape) FOR 5 DAYS, I AM A EXPERT ON THE COUNTRY AND WILL TELL YOU MY SOLUTION YO ALL THEIR GEOPOLITICAL ISSUES
Any Forums users do that too, but without visiting the country first.

>Why is "traveling" and travelers so popular now?
travellers have existed aslong as humans have.
