>zoomer learns about discretionary income

While they make a lot, their real advantage is everything being so cheap. From cars to groceries to real estate. Well atleast in comparison to Europe

t. bootcamp engineer 450k/yr and counting

This is my bi-weekly pay. 18% is automatically deducted prior to deposit and contributed to my 401k. Same with an additional 5% which goes into a Roth IRA. Then $200 into some ETF’s through a market account.

How do you guys actually get good jobs? I only make like 2
$2,600 after tax per month

wtf i only have $5k in saving after working in a high-end job

The wording of this sentence makes it sound like "After Tax" is a profession.

Got into IT back in the late 2000’s and built up enough skillsets and seniority to become another middle manager. I want to start my own business some day though. I’ve been laid off like 3 times throughout my entire career and that shit sucks.

>thinks you need skills to be a manager
kek

I basically serve as a software architect without writing any code myself these days. I just tell the team what to do. Most of my time is spent ensuring they aren’t doing anything egregious and talking to stakeholders to find out what they actually need before requirements start. I also run the teams agile process.

It can get pretty boring.

I know what they do... is becoming the most retarded position
