I sympathize with moses but I'm sure pharaoh had his reasons to not let them go, all and all they should've come to a compromise, what if pharaoh made them work 70% of their time and paid them with some kind of rocks which they could exchange for basic food and services, technically that would still be slavery but would not seem like so

My theory and according to Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich visions is that the Hebrews had priviligies in the Kingdom of the Pharaoh (this is it because all of what the Patriarch Joseph did) and they should be there for a time because of Geopolitical reasons that were not in favour of Israel, so beign a parralel to what happened to the Lord when Saint Joseph flew to Egypt. Now why the Hebrews got their priviligies revoked? according to the Saint is because the grandfather of the Pharaoh sided with some faction of their pagan religion and rewrite history according to their needs, especially rewriting what Joseph was to Egypt, making him basically rah, this was especially to get cheap labour and put the Pharaoh as a god himself and give more power to do God knows what goals Egypt had in their minds in that time.
