These countries never appealed to me. Absolutely massive countries with 90% being steppe or desert and 2 or 3 big soulless cities. What is there to do? Drive 60 hours to see 2 sites scattered across the endless wastelands of Central Asia?

They’re so quiet and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. At least Africa makes the news because of all the poverty and violence but you never hear about these two.

I want to visit Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan tb h. Kazakhstan is lower than those three. Tajikistan I don't care for at all and Mongolia is about the same as Kazakhstan for me.
