noo :((( i don't want to go back :(((

Thread #564 217 of gleefully predicting the 'collapse' of each other while in reality all our living standards drop together over retarded decisions made by others.
Maybe cheering for it like it's a football match makes people feel better but the truth is that the only thing being kicked is our face while both Putin and Scholz won't notice a difference.

Putin's 6d chess is actually forcing Europe to switch to renewables and advancing the global fight against climate change. Thanks Putin.

Germany actually produces coal retard

Germany and Poland are the largest producers of coal in europe.
If Germany gets hold of the coal deposits in Poland, it will be the largest energy kingpin in the western europe and self-sufficient enough to compete with the UK and France which don't have natural resources but have nuclear power which germany doesn't have.
Germans however WILL try to gain access to nuclear energy, despite all the bullshit about
>no nuclear.

No nuclear in fact means "no foreign nuclear".
Meanwhile germans will also switch to electric cars buying cheap resources from Russia and China (lithium) and will try to push EV's hard everywhere.

While energy self-sufficient countries like China, Russia, US, Germany will be fine most likely and this switch will be unnoticed, small countries who have to import energy and cant afford EV infrastructure - will get fucked by this form of economic imperialism.

I forgot to add that Putin clearing out Donbass means this coal will go straight to Germany as well.

China is not self-sufficient in energy.

Who do you think is sponsoring the greens?

they aren't getting shit

they got oil and gas and are working on it. Plus nuclear.

The idea of my post is that most of the politics is kinda hidden from from the eyes of the public.
Ultimately Putin is trying to profit off Germany which struggles to achieve energy independence from everyone. Their best bet is coal, since they have a shitload of it already.
I don't think he has anything against the Germany rising, since it will act as a natural counterweight to France and UK in europe.

just like for gas, the increase in prices is due to the governments stockpiling reserves for the winter.
They are willing to pay a bit more so that they can have a greater political leeway when it comes to treating Russia like the little bitch it is.
The more they stockpile, the less they have to fear the tap being closed. Thats whats driving up prices

They imported 100% of their hard coal in 2020

Putin will get to profit only on this summer's reserve building.
After that, the oil embargo and the cut in gas imports will take place, and Russia will be forced to sell to China at extremely low prices for the forseeable future.

Germany has a shitload of coal but its lower quality and extraction is risky and polluting.
They buy it for convenience and efficiency, but if need came be they have more than enough "dirty" coal to live

They're talking about the coal you find in Germany, lignite

Also, coal is THE most widely available fossil fuel.
It's not the same as gas, which is held in a large proportion by Russia.
They can just buy coal from others

Also additionally
>Climate Change
While it's somewhat true with methane specifically, (CO2 is less of an issue), the reason why it's suddenly being discussed is PERCISELY because of Germany's switch to coal, and because it was inevitable.
Greens in Germany are basically fifth column trying to slow down the industrial growth of the country.
This topic is being speculated on deliberately because dumb public might believe this actually and since coal is a lot dirtier and it's noticeable (remember 19th century, soot and dirty clothes eh?), in 10 years green's politics might give results.

HOWEVER
"Carbon tax" and paris agreements make a lot less sense in a situation where one of the largest european economies is extensively burns coal (literally not figuratively) to heat itself.

>WHO PROFITS FROM PARIS AGREEMENTS?
WHO PROFITS FROM PARIS AGREEMENTS?
>WHO PROFITS FROM PARIS AGREEMENTS?
WHO PROFITS FROM PARIS AGREEMENTS?

Obviously not fossil fuel lobby.

Maybe if germs didn’t shut down their nuclear plants like absolute retards they wouldn’t be in this mess

not again

>shut down their nuclear plants
the did it in order to avoid being energy reliant of nuclear powers.
Building nuclear plants without having your own nuclear energy/weapons program is dealing with the devil.

All they did was shift reliance onto something else only this time they had to import it

I dunno, but we're getting raped with the leccy bill when all of our hydropower get exported to the Continent.
