Why do people hate rats but love giant rats (capybaras)?

They are not associated with dirty sewers and disease, also no tail maybe?

Germany

They're still cute no matter how mainstream they go THOUGH

the straw has a filter

big fella there

The typical chimarrão from Brazil is different though. Our hispanic neighbors fill the cuia with a thicker, less grinded mate and the filter in the straw does the job. In the southernmost part of Brazil we use a well grinded powdery herb and make a little cavity inside the cuia where we put the straw. It ends up like picrel. This is also different from the tereré consumed in Paraguay and other southern Brazilian states like Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul. In the rest of the country mate is mostly consumed roasted, like a typical infusion, and it’s called mate tea. It’s better if drank cold and perfect for warm weather.
