That's not how I remember. Any Forums didn't even care about trannies until like 3 or 4 years ago. Even back in 2016 the Any Forums boogeyman was still Jews/Muslims and feminists, not trannies.

The way I remember it is that Caitlyn Jenner did her front-page "coming out as trans" story in like 2015 and suddenly transgenderism exploded overnight from some shit you only used to see on weird Tumblr blogs, to being a mainstream phenomenon. But even then, you didn't REALLY start to encounter them IRL until more like 2018.

Now, in 2022, they're everywhere and you literally cannot escape them. It feels like some 20% or more of zoomers are trooning out. It's just fucking insane. Are they going to take over the entirety of civilisation? Are we going to be under tranny dictatorship by 2032?

Also in regards to Any Forums, you're missing a crucial part of the story that a lot of people don't seem to remember. Which is that, before trannies were even a major topic of discussion in society, there was a MASSIVE push on Any Forums circa 2013-14 to try and propagandise incels and kissless virgins into becoming trannies. So these people were targetting low self-esteem men even when the transgender phenomenon was still mostly in the shadows.

They're practically non-existent here IRL, but of course, the topic has begun to be brought up thanks to zoomer exposure to US globohomo soft power.

Wasn't on Any Forums at the time (or any time really, apart from occasional browsing and shitposting during big events), but I remember the discourse throughout most of Any Forums at the time and trannies were waaaaay down the list of enemies. The early/mid-2010s was all about feminists vs anti-feminists. If you referred to an "SJW" in 2013 or 2014, you were almost certainly referring to what was basically someone with radical feminist ideology.

Trannies would occasionally come up in convo (remember the "die cis scum" psycho image from like 2011) but it was more of a morbid curiosity, nobody entertained them as serious members of society or influencers of political discourse. When ChrisChan trooned out in 2014 that basically defined what trannies were viewed as at the time, really fringe weirdos who SJW types had sympathy for, but you never expected them to be embraced by normalfag society.

If you went back in time to 2013 and told some user that in a decade's time you'd have activists trying to legislate words like "women" and "breastfeeding" out of existence to appease trannies, they'd have assumed it was some 5D Any Forumstard chess to destroy the feminist movement from within and obliterate women's rights. It would have been so unthinkable back then.

Yeah your recollection is my recollection but I do remember trans people being a target for mockery and hatred even back then on Any Forums but I could be wrong
Also do you realise that the push for changes in words like women and breastfeeding is due to XX trans people? i.e trans people born female and now identify as men or as non binary individuals
