They might as well have locked in the women vote. They win(getting more people into the legislature) and codify the law, making it extremely hard or impossible to remove it. 2) This does not go away and black population skyrockets since blacks have 5 times more abortions than the white citizens. This results in whites getting into the minority zone fairly quickly than the current rate.

Actually, abortion ranks significantly below voter concerns about crime, inflation, immigration, etc. It is fair to think it may receive a slight boost after the ruling, but American voters have short term memory and the chances of this overtaking inflation and crime, two concerns where Rs are overwhelmingly favored by the electorate, is minimal. It is a contentious issue no doubt, but not a decisive one by any means. I still predict an R-controlled Senate and House. As for the Black population increasing, they are concentrated mostly in blue states where it will still be legal. If anything, Ds seem to be the ones sitting on a time bomb. The combination of an increasingly sharp divide between urban and rural states(which are favored by the Electoral College), and Latinos moving to the right in critical states like Texas and Florida significant hurts their chances in nationwide elections. In addition, the major Democratic contenders for presidential nominee(Biden, Kamala, Pete, etc.) all have abysmal approval ratings and a lack of support from the progressive wing. Meanwhile, Rs are already coalescing behind the popular and young DeSantis as the heir apparent to Trump, who is probably about to kick the bucket.
