Our legislative system of an elected commons, appointed Lords to advise them on non-political perspectives and a ceremonial monarch to sign things into law is great and objectively superior to the US congress model where bipartisan moralfagging and government shutdowns abound.

Ours needs reform, the Lords should be purged of hereditary peers, bishops and political lackies, so it can provide a diverse field of genuine alternative viewpoints. But I don't want the upper house removed or, god forbid, replaced with another elected house a la the yanks.
