since graduating from uni, i have been working at my first full time job. only two months have passed and i have gained weight, become distant from my friends and family, and lost my gf. the only consistent thing in my life is my 9 to 5. is this is all there is? 60 more years of this? i sincerely want to end it.
best advice i could give you is to find a hobby, distract yourself from your shitty job, and maybe if you can make money off your hobby, you quit your shitty job. i wish you the best of luck though.

>does this happen in your country? No, I live with dad and don't pay rent.
>Is this all there is too it Only if you want to follow the path set forth by boomers. Find a way to managed your money in a way that gives you the power to decide what to do with yourself. Or just go into debt while going to college.
I got my meme degree when I turned 23 after coming straight home to sit in front of the PC at my parents house from my commuter school for 4 and a half years. After that I was a neet for 8 months then I went right back to working hs grad level jobs. Now I'm less than 6 months from being 27 and still work hs grad level work. What a waste of time.

Right now I'm unemployed on gibs. But it was the post office. I don't really have very much ambition and it's a pretty alright job. College absolutely isn't for everyone.

I remember reading some story about some trucker who was with the same company for a couple decades. He was let go by the company and he killed himself.

Same here I think I'm going to try to start doing programming again since I have the time due to only working part time but it's grim I don't have any ambition either which makes it hard

Yes it is all there is. Wage slaving for Mr. Goldstein so he can have his new lambo and you can afford groceries next week. Get ready to ask for a day off and be guilt tripped for being a lazy team member.

>post office Yeah that's rather grim, I recently applied for a business consulting job which no doub will be awfully boring

thats another thing. working at this bank has unironically made me start going to Any Forums again due to the sheet fact that every higher up just happens to be jewish and untrustworthy. i feel that one’s mental well being can only slip further and further in situations such as this

oh my goodness! how brave of you to share your secret!
Any story of working in an office is bound to be scary at first, just as any realisation of not feeling good enough to do this for the rest of your life People. have insecurities, desires, emotional conflicts, self - doubts etc. and working in an office really makes those problems worse.
This, also get yourself a 13 year old to cook and clean for you, then make his parents feed him to earn more wages.

Political "science" I got it just to get something under heavy parental pressure. It sort of let me extend my childhood and not have adult responsibility yet. I honestly don't mind it. It was very easy. No mental or physical activity really. And government jobs treat employees a lot better in the US than private companies in general. I don't really have any ambition or want to work anywhere and if I just did this straight out of hs at 18 I'd have had tons of raises by now and a lot of seniority.

I work on Wall Street as an algorithm programmer. I make 200k a year plus bonuses. All I do is jerk off and browse this site mindlessly for hours when I’m not working.

>political science on its own it’s shit, but its great for legal-related studies. you never considered law school ?

You can get it no matter if you've been working or not, IIRC in America you can only get it if you've recently lost your job? Here you basically have to sign up to an unemployment job seeking program, log all your activities for a year to show that you're looking for a job After that, if you're still unemployed you get thrown into an even worse bureaucratic hell, have to do training programs which often involves the government paying employers and recruitment agencies to give you 'work' but the work is all meaningless Like a carwash where you have 10 people for every car or where you just sit in a room doing nothing all day meanwhile the employer gets money for offering you the opportunity The whole industry is full of people trying to make a quick buck Otherwise there's disability welfare but idk anything about that and it's been getting gutted over the years
