I was born in 2000, but my father told me that he had to work two jobs and steal food to feed my mother and brother. But that was in a very run-down Siberian town called Bodaibo, so it's not very surprising.

I was born in 92 so 90s child basically.
I think child and adult experience of 90s russia is completely different.
I was spared the grim and dark reality of it.
But from what I remember it was a more vivid time with more diverse types of people.
If today you can only see young people dress the same and have 2 hairstyles back then people looked really different.
I remember seeing the groups of punks who looked like those punks you could see in Robocop movies, there were also goths, 'rappers', rastas and all kind of freaks.
Pretty interesting time.

For me personally it sucks.
I hav eno job and everything has become 1.5-2 times more expensive as well as many of western services I got used to leaving for good.
I am not going to visit those McDonalds knock offs out of principle.
Healthy food and self cooked food for me from this point on.

90s Russia was the greatest shit ever, dont listen to what nowadays Chechen Russians say. Yeltsin put them in their place. The thing became a KGB thing when Pootin took over, it was the only functioning governmental structure left. Putin knows it too, he knows how Russia ended up.
