it's their cringe phase, they'll grow out of it

Muslim traders offering preferential custom & discounts to converts lmao.

Why did you use a map of all of SEA for this question? That aside, the question itself is good and I'm curious too. I wish Hinduism was still more widespread outside of India but oh well.

How come only Moro is Muslim then island man?

To add: local SEAsian Chieftains & Rajas realizing that a Monotheistic religion is a great way to centralize power in a world of shifting allegiances based entirely on subject-chiefs following anyone they liked based on opportunism.

girl like that will hit the wall hard

Well there's still Bali

she's almost 30 apparently

Yeah I can already see it. Brazil bro didn't choose a very good example.

Muslims used to be found all over the Philippines, especially in areas that have high trade traffic and ties with Sultans in Indonesia and Malaysia. Manila used to be a Muslim kingdom.

However it isn't as widespread compared to Malaya/Indonesia since the Philippines existed in the margins of precolonial Southeast Asia. And then the Spics arrived.

she's the only indonesian I know, feel free to post better examples.
my folder will thank you

spanish and amerimutt murdered them
if brit was in charge of Philippines the sultanate would still exist

So why didn't the Buddhist regions convert?

The Netherlands were pretty gay.

Closely tied with the ruling justifications of their Monarchs. Kinda like how the Catholic Church related with the crowned heads of Europe.

South Vietnam and Cambodia convert for short while but they got Buddhised back

have you SEEN white women?
