Because Latin with squiggles are awful
When you look at Vietnamese Latin phonetics, it's inconsistent as fuck.

Why don't they just use letters to spell tones like Hmong?

Because the latin alphabet is a colonial remnant

Want to be chinese. I wish we returned to this runes. Shortened the amount of syllables in words into runic symbols.

What is that? Batak script?

you should adopt that, foreign systems are soulless.
Partly related: Kazhakhstan should return to the Mongolian script, rather than adapt the Latin script like they're doing now

Kazah was never written using mongolian script, only arabic latin and cyrillic

Sumatran Malay script, but never used in Malaysia

To distance themselves from China? I Don't know.

all of those are foreign to the Kazhak people, Mongolian is the only currently used script that has some ancestral link to the Kazhak steppe soul

What should Vietnam do?

But kazahs are turks, not mongolian

I'm not familiar enough with the Vietnamese language, they should either make their own script like Korea did, or adapt a close alphabet, maybe make their own version of kanas adapting the chinese characters for that
the mongolian script was invented by an Uyghur scholar, and is directly descendant from the Uyghur (Turkic) script so it should adapt easily.
Also it's a true alphabet with a letter for every sound, and that is always a plus

why not just write it normal?

That's ours, fuck off meleis
