Yes, we can't, because we don't have capital (financial and human) westoids have amassed for centuries of development in stable capitalist environment.
In these industries which only emerged after Eastern Europe had already joined the capitalist world, like IT, gaming industry etc., eastern European countries aren't doing worse or sometimes even better than western countries (and certainly better than Meds)

Look at Russia, Serbia, Ukraine. They almost only have local brands and local capital, meanwhile we are a German-French condominium
