Hoarding technology in your country?

do people in your country hold on to technology for years? i have a laptop from 2014, that was hardly used, but i fucked up the screen when i rolled over it. I bought a monitor for it today when i was hanging out with one of my homies.
do people do this in your country?(also how long could i expect to get use out of this thing, assuming it still functions, and was hardly used prior?)

she is overrated

I destroy my old things so poorfags can't use them

can you answer my question though? like how long do you think i could get out of this laptop again

I use all my things until they no longer work. No point in buying new until something breaks.

i ddidnt read your question. make it shorter

I do but I like technology. When I was younger I would install linux and bsd on literally everything with an IO device.

Yes. Some of them. But not as much as they do in Finland:

2014 is not too bad but the battery will be the first thing to go. Other computer parts usually don't really decay, they just get outdated. Once the battery dies you can buy a new one, just make sure it's compatible with your current laptop. Installing a new one is easy but you will need a small enough screwdriver to unscrew the bottom.
To answer your question, I think a lot of people in my country tend to run things to their limit despite being rich enough to afford new stuff. Belgians are pretty frugal and change-averse. Personally I love technology to I tend to upgrade faster than I need to.

...

ATTENTION EVERYONE
if had a laptop from 2014 that i hadnt used much since then, and i start back using it regularly now, assuming the only damage was just to the screen, should i expect to get alot of years out of this again?

yooooo man. it went better than i expected!
honestly i got bogged down before exams and just said screw it, if i have to retake this then whatever but
they brought so many different types of topics that it had so many possibilities to get marks!! . that was awesome

I only hoard old mobile phones. I got my first one in 2008 and I've kept everyone I've had since.

how are things on your end my guy? :)

good stuff man. what do you expect your gpa to be?

Attached: 1642910695546.jpg (2646x3528, 965.94K)

so basically we don't have gpa, our system for this course(its a bri'ish course) is pass/fail
pass=proceed/continue
fail=retake or find another exam to do

All fine here. I'm on summer break. Trying to get my internship approved cause I'm a procrastinator and I delayed the application for nearly 2 months. fml desu
