No. Ppl just wanna reset this country.

absolutely not
this

lol no

Spain just has the worst history in Europe

We have no history

yes we have a lot, but it's depressing

I wish I was dead

what percentage of iberia was actually muslim? ive heard ppl say 20%, ive heard ppl say 50%. but if it was really 50% i doubt muslims would have got btfod so fast. i need to make a /his/ thread about this one day

yeah, but /int is filled with self-hating reclusives who can't appreciate their culture due to excluding themselves from it

100%

I see 6 countries

is the spanish desert harsh?

>percentage of iberia was actually muslim?
it probably reached 50% at one point, in the 9th century the caliphate controled the major cities and most of the productive areas of iberia (ebre river and guadalquivir/guadiana), and many people converted to avoid taxes, the christian kingdoms had much lower population densities due to being in the mountains, the Duero river valley was also a borderland, not really claimed by anyone and very heavily depopulated, the kingdom of Asturias and then Leon spent its first centuries slowly colonizing more of what's today Castille-Leon.

none as harsh as the sahara,
the desert of tabernas was used in the filming of many westerns

Muslims were not "btfod fast" at all. It required almost half a millennium of constant war even though a lot of christians still lived under muslim rule
and then the kingdom of Granada still lasted another three centuries

damn, its just surprising how fast they lost territory after the caliphate collapsed. i guess thats just because of how stupid the emir was

Only Spain matters.

>how fast they lost territory after the caliphate collapsed
i wouldn't say so, the caliphate collapsed in 1031 and the muslims remained for 450~ more years
>how stupid the emir was
what emir?
the caliphate fell due to never having much centralized authority and a huge civil war (fitna) in 1009, in the last 20 years, the caliphate saw 10 caliphs.
The taifa rulers didn't know who ruled over them and slowly declared themselves independence.
The moment when the muslim were BTFO'd and lost any possibility of overall victory was Las Navas de Tolosa (1212), after that one, practically all of muslim iberia got conquered pretty within 50 years besides the kingdom of granada

Of course, only people who didnt study our history (which isnt a small number here) would say otherwise. Or the self-hating cucked neets here.

All of them rightful spanish clay in any case.

idk i read that the emirs and generals in al andalus kept assassinating eachother. and the spanish converts and berbers kept revolting because the arabs would treat them like second class citizens.

There is a general feeling that the country was desecrated and ruined by the Muslims/Arabs (commonly seen in Europe as racially inferior creatures), a full medieval history development was taken from us unlike other west euro countries.
Add to that open wound the loss of the overseas empire in the 19th century and a civil war that has left the country polarized ever since.
People are simply tired with the course that Spanish history has had in recent centuries, the corrupt Social Democrat politicians and the destruction that the EU has caused to our economy have only generalized that feeling, specially due to inferiority complex towards Germany and France.

the caliphate was indeed a shitfest, anyone who says it was in any way stable is lying, there were constant power struggles between the generals and the only sense of unity among the different faction was when they went to raid the christians (razias), their last good general Almanzor created a huge power vacuum when he died
the berbers did revolt and fuck over the caliphs, at one point completely destroying the palace city capital of Medina Azahara. Picrel
