As a cisgender agnostic Iranian male, I can tell you that people have always hated us, even when we were still Zoroastrians before Islam even existed.
Nowadays, it's because we have a bad government that engages in sectarian proxy conflicts.
Back then, it was because we were one of the main regional empires.
Either way, I don't care anymore if people hate us, I'll never apologize for being a cisgender Iranian person.

The sunni shia split is still a thing, most palestinians are sunni, and iran wants shia dominance over the middle east. Back in the day it was gulf countries who were palestine's biggest supporters and iran was actually allied with israel, but the tide is slowly changing what with iran supporting palestinian terror groups with weaponry, I assume its mostly older people who have a hard time coming to terms with their present situation, most palestinian boomers are hardcore nasserists

Our government only supports their cause to virtue signal. The average Palestinian is either hostile or neutral towards us, while the average cisgender Iranian person either doesn't care about them or supports them. We are mostly empathetic people who care about the suffering of others, too bad others can't do the same for us.
The only Arabs that we have good relations with are Oman. They mostly like us and we mostly like them. True friends.
Genuinely cannot recall having a single good interaction with Iranians. They’re seen as a model minority here but I can’t stand but hate them. They’re all so arrogant. I’ve met a lot of Iranians and never liked any of them. I mean they’re obviously better than Moroccans and Turks (criminals and backwards) but Iranians are just annoying, attention-seeking, inferiority complex people.

Iranians have a weird western complex. The average Iranian in the west tries really hard to forego anything middle eastern. They think they are better than Arabs and Pakis even though their country is a pariah state. I even saw a Persian wedding on social media and they were playing violins and were at some European type villa. They also like to pretend Iranians aren't muslim even though they live in a country more theocratic than Pakistan
