Retiree immigrants caused much more damage by spending eu money elsewhere.

I really want to move to America but unfortunately I can't because legal immigration is the most difficult of any anglophone country. Even the UK is easier especially if I can get a PhD offer here.

I'm a white collar with a masters who can and willing to work in Germany but I can't even get a visa for 3 days conference that I try to attend. They question me thoroughly lest I overstay.
Because what they need is more lower class workers, they don't want more engineers or more professors. Now some of those potential shitcleaners don't work and that is a problem. But many people are eliminated from the start.

I'm 1 week from finishing my BSc in Biochemistry here from Imperial College London. Barring any change of mind I'm going to UCL for a master's Biochemical Engineering and intend to pursue a PhD in the field because it's the most mobile degree.
I feel like I made a mistake not doing an engineering degree from the start, and in Canada instead of the UK.

European immigration policy is very calculated and intentional. They can get professors doctors engineers from 3rd world very easily but they don't need more professors of arabic or forest engineers or highschool managers. They need more shitcleaners
but the problem is many of those potential shitcleaners don't work. So the EU policy of immigration does work in the 1st process but fails in the second.

ask anyone with a degree from mena and they will tell how difficult it is to obtain even a touristic visa. It is not uncommon for an engineer from tunusia to get rejected in his visa application for a 1 week holiday in disneyland paris. Because he is not wanted.

And yeah most countries need engineers and every kind of medical staff, including nurses and lab techs (I was one before university).
