We have house gnomes called дoмoвoй, it's more like a spirit of your home (each house/appartment only has one) than a proper living creature. If you lose something and you can't find it you can ask domovoy to return it to you after he's done playing with it. After it's found you're supposed to feed it as a reward.
There's also an evil version (it's female so you know it's malicious) called кикимopa, but it's never really brought up even by people who are superstitious enough to buy into the house spirit thing.
