Does this work? Also I'm confused on how you use こと for what actions or events is it used as a particle?

Why add this? Does it work to just keep it as 同じ?
I don't know if you need it or not. It didn't feel right to me to say without the よう since I'm talking about my version of the thing not the exact same thing.
Got It was was just wondering as I've seen similar "extensions" in manga and books where they add よおう or something similar and it confuses me.
