Quest for fire is kino, it's about a tribe of cro magnons in 80000bc who depend on a single continuously burning fire, but don't know how to start one. When it burns out a few of them go out to try to find more, and learn how to do it from more advanced hominids. The movie depicts multiple drastically divergent hominid lineages living at the same time, which was a new and controversial idea at the time but is now widely accepted.
