I went to jail once in Argentina when I was 17 for 2 joints.
Pretty comfy, they gave me a Individual cell, some sheets and a pillow. They offered me dinner and a shower but I declined. Way better than any hostel experience I had.

they treated you good because you are american. i don't think average inmate in argentina lives like this.

there is no such freedom. whether you sit all day or keep working all day.

what type people do crimes in japan? i think you are so low test and coward to do crime. only yakuza type mafias and truly japanese serial killer cannibal psychopats in prison.

mainly drugs and theft. so it's stupid cowards as you said. there aren't many yaks and serial killer.

We have two types of prisons essentially, one for people with serious offenses like murder, attempted murder and the sorts. And the "weekend" prison in which people with smaller offenses go to, these are open and you can leave to go to work and only serve time in the afternoons or only over the weekends. Pic related is a cell from a more secure prison from which you can't freely leave, depending on how bad your charges are you might get cellmates or not.
