We all can agree this was the greatest show from the last 10 years, but what is its main theme? Power? Faith? Love?

It's my favorite show of recent times, sure. The only bizarre thing is I never watched the second season.

>We all can agree this was the greatest show from the last 10 years
No.

the main theme is an instrumental version of the song “watchtower” by uk rapper devlin, itself a reworking of jimi hendrix’s reworking of bob dylan’s “all along the watchtower”

This show was baffling. It felt like whoever made it was trolling the audience. The premise of an evil Pope was fun, but then halfway through suddenly it turns out the pope is actually a saint who can make miracles and everyone who was against him was wrong and they must learn to accept him and follow him. What the fuck?

OK, the greatest show except for the shitty ending
>Evil pope
No? What are you talking about, he was just conservative or aggressive at worst.

He was fucking insane. He wasn't just conservative. He unironically talks about bringing the catholic church back to its former medieval glory and he tries to expel every gay priest from the church

This scene was pure christian kino

I usually don't call stuff art because it's gay but the young pope is art, fucking beautiful show.

sounds rational to me

i’m confused, where does the evil part come in

>He unironically talks about bringing the catholic church back to its former medieval glory and he tries to expel every gay priest from the church
Nothing wrong with this.

He was like the anti-Francis. I'm not catholic, but only religious fundamentalists could follow a man like Lenny. His way of thinking was already out of fashion a century ago

>He unironically talks about bringing the catholic church back to its former medieval glory and he tries to expel every gay priest from the church
What? He talked about taking the Church back to essentially being much smaller, but also for genuine believers only.

i got about 3 episode in but the second season was some real fart sniffing type shit.

i couldnt cope with watching 3 minutes of music, some admittedly beautiful lighting on traditional catholic and historical buildings then a few lines of dialogue then repeat. it felt like nothing was happening and the show became an outlet for some faggy deviant art acount blending new age lighting with classical architecture

Whew filtered lad

>out of fashion
>fashion
Odd word to place at the crux of your argument.
People have principles to be “fashionable”?

>episode 9 is the peak of the show
>procced to conclude the show with the worst episode and a shitty ending
Anyway, who and why stole the statue in the last episode? I don't get it.

Name a show with better writing.

Season 2 was fucking dogshit.

I can agree that I never watched this shit yes.
