He was unironically a complete left turn from most of the MCU villains. Just wanted chaos and destruction, and his personal threat level was also at or above Steve Rogers super soldier serum levels. I liked how as soon as he emerged, Peter’s spider sense went completely apeshit screaming danger at him. It didn’t even do that for Thanos.

The best part of Iron Boy's trilogy is the main villain of Raimi's Spider-Man
I find that funny.

No matter what universe, Norman is always fascinated by Peter Parker, and Goblin is always obsessed with Spider-Man

>Main Villain
>dies before Spider-Man has even gotten used to being a hero
Doc Ock was a bigger threat because a seasoned Spidey still had trouble with him.

Except the fallout of his death also fed Harry's transformation into another Goblin and eventually his death, it had ramifications the entire trilogy while Doc was only the villain in 2.

I have to disagree. His actions have consequences through the trilogy, including Harry supporting Ock's project, Harry adopting his role as the new Green Goblin and the reason there was a fallout between Peter and Harry.

Reminder that as something of a scientist himself, he created a better serum than Erskine.

Don't forget the scene where he uses portals to seduce both MJs for a multiversal threesome

What are the chances that Dafoe Goblin will come back?

only he knows

>Villians pulled into this world who knew spiderman was Peter parker
Electro didnt know Peter was Spidey

All he did was turn the serum into a gas to make it easier to administer, user. He was still missing the vital part: Vita-Rays to temper the serum and stop the side-effects that happen when you use only the serum or try to temper it with other radiation sources.

Goblin vs Cap when

Goblin can punch out and overwhelm Peter with pure force and smash him through multiple floors and walls without even looking like he’s trying. Not a fucking chance is Rogers’ serum gettin anywhere near that.

Him beating tf out of Holland was the best scene

>he thinks Cap couldn't have overwhelmed Peter with pure force
Cap was always holding back since he was fighting a kid. Give Cap the pumpkinbombs and he'll fuck shit up too.

Carlos!

According to leaks of dubious verifiability, the next trilogy will have Kingpin, Venom, and GG as the villains of each. Whether that means more dafoekino or a new actor isn't known.

Tbf Cap in the MCU is way more powerful than the comics. He's well within superhuman range, not peak human

>It didn’t even do that for Thanos.
It didn't even do it with three other full fucking supervillains in the apartment with him. The SECOND Goblin manifest, every instinct in Peter's head was screaming at him to GTFO ASAP

If pure power is the measure of success then Bruce Banner also made a better serum than Erskine. The point of the SSS was to turn regular guys into superfit soldiers that are mentally fit to follow orders, not just brute strength. Norman failed because his serum causes split personalities that hamper the effectiveness of the soldier.

The only other villain in there was Electro though and he wasn't as much of a threat at that moment.

Best he did was that bicep curl of a helicopter in full strength, and it was clearly pushing him to his limit. Meanwhile Gobby throws around cable cars full of people and busts down multiple concrete floors, while laughing his ass off and having fun and letting Peter wail on him in a blind rage without taking any visible damage. Superhuman or not, Cap doesn’t scale to that.

From a purely physical standpoint, Goblin serum straight up moggs Erskine's super soldier serum. Erskine was "peak human" whereas Osborn was mid tier superhuman. Unfortunately the mental instability that accompanies kinda makes the drastic power boost not really worth it.

Erskine’s serum was also used on Red Skull, and it turned him into a hideous monster. It brings out what is already inside you and then magnifies it, which was the point of going through those trials to choose Steve. It’s very possible that Norman with his dark thoughts and fears and raw anger buried inside would have had the same reaction to Erskine’s version.
