I'm not even a christfag anymore but the way this series tries to use the bible as its epic le source for authenticity and then proceeds to just ignore the same book it's referencing really bothers me. Like I don't think they need to respect the bible or whatever, but it's like tearing the midsection of LOTR out and saying "AND THEN SAURON WON AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THE THIRD REICH NOW". Like, it just doesn't flow that way.
