i'll show you a wind river

you liked it

You thought it was good, but the ending was stupid. Namely, the wall of text bemoaning the high rates of disappearance of Native women that immediately followed the movie's climax where it's discovered that a bunch of evil white guys were responsible, implies that it's white men who are responsible in the real world. Of course, the opposite is true. It's the drunk Native men these girls live around who are raping them, murdering them, disappearing them, etc.

the firefight was the most absurd comical violence ive seen in a long time.

WHY ARE YOU FLANKING ME, BRO

This is not your blog faggot.

He asked what he thought of it. I told him.

It spreads the message. The people moved to act by the movie enough to actually stand up for the weak figure it out as soon as they see the situation up close.

I think it would have been more interesting if jeremy renner's character were played by a indian actor.

The people "moved to act" are like, what, maybe 2-3% of the audience at the very most? The other 98% walk away thinking "Wow, white men are evil rapists." That's what the message fundamentally was. That was the point. Any Forums slobbers over Sheridan, but he really exposed himself here.

i agree, its almost cliche at this point

Disgusting. Stop lobbying for yet another mixed-race couple (There was obvious sexual tension and chemistry between Olsen and Renner). Cucks.

the scene at the hospital was very emotional, that's what you thought.

It's pretty good. Getting left up on a mountain to freeze to death is a pretty terrifying way to go.

he very clearly sees himself as a protector of this inexperienced agent and not as a romantic partner.💨

I liked it up until the ending which was stupid

I agree, Renner's character being white didn't really add much to the story besides the occasional jab from a salty perp. If the producers of the movie really wanted to make a story shedding light on issues in reservations, the lead should've been native.

that youre underage, trying so hard and have no own opinions about things in general whatsoever, digging in even further in this hole, looking for 4chink "culture" haha 2lyt its gone, gone a long time ago gtfo cockstain

he had a white man demeanour, changing him to native would imply rewriting the entire character. basically rewrite the movie. I'm not sure it would have worked so well, because the FBI agent was totally relying on him, and that wouldn't be possible if he was a native. you often need a culture-bridge character in these kind of movies, someone that can communicate with both sides.

If youve ever been to a legit res like wind river or the lakota nation you would know that the message of this movie is bullshit. The reservations are depressing as shit. Its like going back in time to the 70's but every one is on meth. Is really hard to put into words for people who havent been there. Its a truly horrifying existential terror even driving through these areas as you know whats going on.

I will put it this way, you know when youre on the "res" as the quality of life drops immediately. Like ten fold. Every house is prefab. every house has mutiple abandoned cars in front. The towns are depressing with zombies walking at all hours.

Seriously, dont go on the for real reservations if youre a white man. Its super dangerous.

I spent some time last summer on the lakota nation res and it fucked me up.

What are you talking about

eh the reservations where I live arnt great by any means but they get by, though maybe they just have it better off in the PNW

>he had a white man demeanour
What the hell does that even mean?

>the message of this movie is bullshit.
Did you think the message of the movie is "reservations are good, happy places" or something? Did you even see it?

he had a job🤡

I was in the lakota nation last summer. To get on site you had to go through check points where they questioning you where youve been, blah blah, take pictures of your car and license plate.

Then once youre on, i worked at a school there. They had "art" works from the kids. they would ask them to develop art in response to current things.

for "Covid-19" it was endless "the white man brings disease into our communities to kill the brown man."

For "Drugs" it was "the white man brings drugs into our communities to kill off our strong men"

For "suicide" it was shit like "she couldnt deal with her rape" or fucked up shit like that.

Seriously, its not cool

The message of the movie seemed to be that the Rez was about the way you describe it.

the message was "indians stoic, white men rape indian women"

>HOKA HEY WHITE BOY, LET'S GOOO

you haven't seen the movie, they literally raid a fucking crack den of natives that's exactly as you're describing

huh you learn something new everyday, the natives in Washington seem much better off than that tho they have the casinos to generate a ton of money😏

no, they show that there are Indians who are denerage meth addicts with guns. Also everyone's paranoia of the older white dude the native girl was seeing turns out to be unfounded, he was genuinely good the whole time and it's a subtle message that Indian dad was bigoted and controlling

he behaves like a white man, an american white guy. he's receptive to help the FBI lady, for instance. because he can relate with her, they have the same culture.
