Why shouldn't? Indian soldiers carried that flag to victory all the way from 1757 to 1947 in hundreds of battles. The British Empire was the best thing to happen to Pajeets at the time. Over time, bongoloids became incompetent too and thus had to leave for good after Germans bombed them.

Its not a slave mentality. Bong administration in India was supported by most Indians for most of late 1870s and until 1910s because it was actually good. All the infrastructure that had been destroyed in the 1700s and 1800s over wars was being rebuilt. Railways and electricity were introduced. The army went from being meagerly paid under Mughal and Maratha administration to Indian soldiers enjoying things like pensions and world tours.
The problems started from 1910 when Bongs increased taxes, started cutting down budgets for India, and especially after WW1 when they practically started hoarding resources.

Absolutely 100% fault of the Bongoloid administration. I'll digress, because the famine is largely not in public memory since India is self sufficient today. People have even stronger opinions on the Calcutta Communal riots which has long term consequences, where the Bong administration stood dickless while the massacre occurred. The Viceroy neither the British PMO sent in the army even though Commanders on the ground begged for military intervention because they were too timid to offend the Muslims. They became incompetent, I guess the years of comfortable ruling made them like that. The end result was the partition of India.
