Having traveled a bit, I can say we do consumer convenience very well.
24/7 culture doesn't exist in a lot of the world and some countries even close most shops on Sundays.
Also the fact that I can order almost anything while drunk at 11pm, and have it at my doorstep at 7am is bretty nice.
