I have trouble watching any comfy movies from the 80s, 90s, hell even early 2000s because all I can see is a past that is so foreign it's an alien planet, a world I only briefly experienced before it was taken away forever. Watching them is sort of like going through a shoebox of love letters and mementos from a long gone ex girlfriend who is happily married with kids, while I drink myself to sleep alone every night
