Is the new season still woke? Lost interest with Jodie Whittaker. She's probably the weakest of actors to portray the Doctor and even the Master screams diversity hire. I want more space and time and less hey look here's MLK and Rosa Parks. The writing seems to try too hard and you can see it even with Peter Capaldi. His stint seems to suffer due to the writing.

Heaven Sent from Series 9 is clearly the best episode of the entire Capaldi run, and arguably from the entire Moffat run

I've been rewatching Capaldi's run with my gf (we had only previously dipped in and out and both had skipped S10 entirely except the Christmas special)
Currently midway through S9 and it's been amazing so far. The last two partner (Under the Lake/Before the Flood) was especially good. I'm not even sure why I zoned out in the first place. Probably still hung up on Matt Smith leaving
Agreed Heaven Sent in S9 is a god-tier who episode. At least watch that.
Still not sure how I'm going to handle S10 because I really really dislike the companion actress. After that might give Jodie a go. Might not.
Either way excited for the 60th and likely Eleventh Hour-style soft reboot with RTD2
