Shame they had literally no budget for battles. Same issue with The Last Kingdom, another Cornwell book series.
But while the movies divert heavily from the books they're still great.

If you haven't watched it I recommend checking out Hornblower.

Hornblower blows. The navy is gay.
Sharpe and tge infantry is where it's at.

Have you seen Waterloo with Rod Steiger and Chris Plummer? youtube.com/watch?v=3DcWJrzK0wU

They should pull a george lucas and edit in more extras in the battle scenes

Yeah the budget does show for battles and locations. But it's still very enjoyable. It would be great to get a Master and Commander type remake, but anything made now stands a 99% chance of being pozzed.

>sharpe is infantry
>hornblower is navy
>no napoleonic cavalry kino to round it off

That night charge scene was kino cause you cant see how few people are involved

Cavalry really wasn't a big player by that time. Their role was basically to pursue and kill fleeing enemies. Otherwise they'd get fucking shot.

>Napoleon, Rome, Gayreeks, Crusades, Knights everywhere
