They have a large population, seem committed to reducing corruption, lots of natural resources, and will probably get a lot of aid from the West. If they can overcome corruption and get enough funds I think they have good future prospects, though as their population ages that may be difficult

Russia is basically fighting the American war machine even though no US troops are on the ground which basically means they have no chance at taking over Ukraine. They might take some small part from the east and declare it a "victory" but that's it.

Hard to say, depends on the outcome of war. If we at least not lose, I hope US will reshape ukraine into new republic and install a controlled govt, just like in Germany or South Korea.
