Depends on what you count as first.

The first Finnish senate was led by Carl Erik Mannerheim in 1822

The first Finnish parliament in its current form was led by Leopold Henrik Stanislaus Mechelin in 1906.

The first leader of the independent Finnish parliament was Pehr Evind Svinhufvud in 1917.

We have had governors then premiers and power only slowly moved from the governor to premiers and then we had prime ministers

Kek

Post first governor you stupid retard blaady bitch blaady

Well then firstly we have Captain William Hobson who signed the Treaty of Waitangi making British rule over the isles, however he only lasted a year and a half until he died(he was sick for a long tine) and my family had a personal feud with him

The Hon. Henry Sewell was the 1st premier and won his seat in the 1st election in 1856 although he only lasted 13 days in the office before the house of representatives chose a different premier

The 1st to use the title and be considered the 1st PM was The Right Honourable Richard John Seddon and ran the country for 13 years which no other PM has broken that record

But if there had to be a "father of the nation" it was The Right Honourable Sir George Grey KCB. He was twice governor and then got elected to parliament and also had a term as premier and also commanded crown forces in the wars against Maori tribes and was a constant poltical figure from the 1840s to the 1880s
