It sure is. There are many beautiful lakes for example that are pretty famous.

Of course, many companies were there that either fled to the west or were ran into the ground by the GDR.
The fact that Berlin is entirely within Brandenburg's borders also doesn't hurt, which housed many, many companies too, like Siemens...
