with alcohol, you can do anything

With a plane you can go anywhere you want

based and /druk/pilled

>based pilot singlehandedly saves everyone from near-certain death
>"REEEEEEEE why were you taking drugs that had no negative effect on your performance???!!!"

>people don't actually do this do they?

>getting druk
>no negative performance
are you dumb

in the movie the plane malfunctions and causes a crash and he stops saves it but at the time he's completely lit.

i know i've watched it and it was great
but alcohol was literally ruining his life and the fact that he was able to save the plane was a miracle

He didn't. It's a movie.

arguably, being high/drunk is what allowed him to make the proper decisions to land the plane with minimal loss of life.

the crash the movie is based on was caused by a mechanical failure that no amount of sobriety could've prevented. the movie glosses over this.

there's also the fact the movie came out after 1549 was national news, and completely unrelated to it, and the movie looks retarded to anyone familiar with 1549, despite there being the same type of "insurance company tries to blame the pilot/staff for unpreventable mechanical failure."

Cocaine. Lots of cocaine. And God.

reeee no they don't you just feel like they do reeee

>Make pilot black
>Make drug dealer white
lmao oscar nominee writing right away, fuck this film

It's a bell curve, I'm best at pool and vidya when I'm about 2-3 beers deep

No. Denzel is /our coon/

>>Make drug dealer white

Depends on what drug it is, but every coke dealer I've ever known was white.

Arguably my ass

a nice buzz enhances your senses
i've never scratched my car when im drunk whereas i got some crashes when sober

That was literally me at multiple points in my life. I've quit cold turkey now.

arguably, its fiction, the point is the cocktail of drugs and alcohol made him a better pilot. you definitely didn't want him detoxing when the plane starts trying to nosedive because the tail ailerons are locked into the down position.

I knew a guy that could play like a pro musician but only when high on amphetamine.
The moment he stopped being high his skills were turning to shit.
