haven't watched /film/ in like three days. is it over?

You have freed yourself from the tyranny of 3rd-rate art

>Depiction ultimately is endorsement. No matter the lens which purportedly condemns war, whether it be material violence in Saving Private Ryan or psychological violence in Apocalypse Now, the warning is the package of the exquisite endorsement. Whether the viewer believes himself secretly immunized by the former or seduced by the latter, or - why not ? - vice versa, it is not even the lens which endorses, but the depiction itself. There is one particular war film which surpasses all others in being as free of lenses, of emphases, of warping, of bias, as possible: Starship Troopers; unsurprisingly, the most pro-war film. It achieves what all "anti-war" films attempt but fail, to put the viewer "there", to show him what it "really is like", to "expose" war. The film being shot in first person, as it were, the camera never being the injunction of a narrative authority, but mimicking the vantage point of just another one of the film's characters. All the Anglo nonsense about utility without morality, action without thought, reality without expectation, etc., is suddenly sensible in Starship Troopers. Being "there" through a film endorses war just as being there proper endorses war, the "objective" depiction being not only inextricably polluted by a Subjective bias, but being nothing but pure pollution, just as the Objective itself is, pure bias of the Subject, God the Father, Yaldabaoth. The less depiction, the less endorsement. War media has been universally sanitized since time immemorial precisely for this reason.

nobody commented on your thread yesterday and now you bring this trash here?

She was a babe, then she botched her lip surgery.

Yes.

It's like voting third party. The threads must exist even if purely to spite the capeshit.

Where is Breakin In by Bill Forsyth? I want to watch Breaking In by Bill Forsyth but no one wants to share it and these threads die within 50 posts at this point. I liked Gregory's Girl and Housekeeping

>boob job that almost ruined the entirety of la belle noiseuse
