Mike is an original trilogy nerd. The original trilogy, especially the first film, borrows very heavily in both story and cinematography from Kurosawa's films especially The Hidden Fortress. Star Wars fans never seen to get this or care. To get Star Wars you need to understand kurosawa and John Ford.
