Is "The Wire" worth watching?

Is "The Wire" worth watching?

No, Sopranos is better.

Yes it is. Watched it a year ago and it was still pretty good. There are some parts that are annoying but the first 2 seasons are kino and you'll get over the annoying shit in s3 etc pretty quick as they're also extremely forgettable.

Both shows are top tier, but The Wire edges it out.

god i hate redditors

As someone who never watched the wire when it first came out and therefore doesn't have the nostalgia factor playing in, the writing in the wire is top notch and the actors are great in their roles but the filming and pacing shows its age

No, the Wire is too serious and boring.

why is russia such a repressive shithole?

Go and shout "nigger" at the first black man you encounter my free beloved individual.

yeah, it's great. the later seasons take a dive in quality, but all of it is worth watching.

>you only do two days
so, what did he mean by that

Getting knocked on your ass by someone is way different that going to the Gulag, Copenik

the wire is literally just "what white liberals think niggers are like"

you get raped on your first and last day. the rest you just chill

Off to the gulag!

yes, it was an inadvertent redpill. david simon claims "its a treatise on the drug war," but in actuality it gives you a step-by-step explanation of the inner city feedback loop caused by the progressive agenda.

>too serious
it has an absolute shitton of humour. it doesn't beat the sopranos in that department, but it definitely isn't too serious

The Corner is better, shorter, and doesn't beat you over the head. The only downside is the props for heroin puffy hands.

Yes. It's fascinating to learn what liberals actually think lower-class black people are like.

why was the OP image illegal? russian jannies now?

>jannies quick to delete all the fun offtopic threads but take 40 minutes to delete porn spam

I’m a faggot please rape my face

The wires biggest legacy might be that whenever I see the actor playing clay davies in anything I loudly yell SHIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET at the tv.

I tried watching it with a black friend when I was 16 and he laughed at the part where the guy being interviewed said they had to let themselves get robbed because it was America and said to turn it off.
